About Us: Our Purpose
The JOI is an acronym for the name Justus Obinna Iwu, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and colleague, whose life was cut short suddenly by gun violence.
He had an incredible desire to reach and provide aid to the world. His mother recalls the time he traveled to Nigeria and witnessed the plight of the people and upon his return, he tells her a dream that he had to help the unfortunate people build a better future for themselves and the generations to come.
Provide financial support, mentorship, and educational resources to underprivileged youth with a passion for STEAM fields, helping them pursue their dreams through scholarships, training programs, and hands-on experience.
The JOI Foundation’s goal is to continue the efforts of our loved one and continue where he had left off.
Our vision is to empower underprivileged youth through access to STEAM education, fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills that will lead to brighter futures.
